Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ page). Below, we have tried to answer the most common questions visitors to this our Web site may have. If you find that your question is not answered on this page, please email us dav446@hotmail.com.

Q. How do I download and save the photos in your Photo Galleries section?

A. To download photos from our site and save them to CD or DVD discs just follow the instructions below.

  1. Select a gallery you would like to view either form the list on the page or the navigation buttons on the left hand side of the page.
  2. Click on the image you would like to view/download.  You will be redirected to our image file server.
  3. A preview image will appear. At the bottom of the preview image you will find a link entitled “Click here for hi-res version.”  Click on the link.
  4. A new tab or window will open and the image will be transferred to your computer.  After the image has finished it’s transfer (and this may take a while if you have a slow connection such as dial-up) right click anywhere on the image. A dialog box will appear.  Choose “save image as” or “save picture as” and then choose the folder on your computer you wish to save the photo to.
  5. Repeat the above steps to download as many photos as you want.
  6. After you have downloaded your photos it is recommended you save them to either a CD or a DVD disk for save keeping.

Q. What is the best way to get prints from these images?

A. Well that depends. If you have a photo grade ink jet or laser printer you can print them out at home. Many stores that sell printers also sell photo grade ink and paper for your printer. Our online photos will print well at home up to 8 1/2 by 11 inches.

Your other option is to take the disk that you just saved your photos on to your favorite camera store or retail outlet such a Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Wallgreens, etc. They will be able to print your photos from 4 by 6 inches to large 18 by 24 poster prints.

Q. The colors don’t look right on some or all of the photos.  Can I make any adjustments?

A.   Yes you can.  The thing to keep in mind about digital images is that they will display a little, or a lot, differently from one monitor to the next.  The same holds true for printers. All of our images online are large hi-quality JPEG images.  This means that you can load our images into your favorite imaging software and tweak them to suit your needs. You can adjust the brightness; contrast; hue; and saturation just like you can adjust the picture on your television set. And since our images are large to begin with you can re-save them with little or no loss to quality. I would also recommend that if you adjust them re-save them with a different file name. That way, if you should want to readjust them again you’ll still have the original to work from.
